New Cafeteria to Open Soon

Campus Cafeteria May Be Opened Soon. Colt Special newspaper, Sept. 29, 1960, pg. 2.

More Air-conditioned comfort will greet the Campus Colts in approximately six weeks as the cafeteria opens its doors for the first time.

The cafeteria will offer a three program plan for lunch. A plate lunch will be offered for those who wish a full meal including meat, bread, salad, vegetable, dessert and milk. The plate lunch menu will change every day. A cafeteria-style lunch line will be offered for those who like to choose their own food and to be as little or as much as they want. The third lunch program will be a snack bar, where sandwiches, soups, desserts, chocolate shakes, homemade ice cream and milk will be served.

The cafeteria will open at 7:45 in the morning to serve breakfast to all students who wish to eat at school. The breakfast menu will consist of fruit juice, dry cereal, sweet rolls, toast and jelly, milk and hot cocoa.

Menu boards will be placed at both entrances of the cafeteria to list the menu of the day and also the prices of all three lunch programs.
